Privacy policy

Last updated 12 October 2026 · Applies to the Hyfive app (Android and iPhone) and hyfive.app

The short version. Hyfive works on your phone. Your card, the people you meet and your notes are stored on your phone. Hyfive has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. We never receive the people you meet. Only if you share your card by link do we keep a copy of that one card, so the link works and shows your latest details.

Who we are

Hyfive is made by AMTECCO (Amtecco BV), Antwerp, Belgium, VAT BE0748.398.550. We are responsible for this policy. Questions or requests: privacy@amtecco.com.

Card links on hyfive.app

When you tap an iPhone without Hyfive, it opens your card on hyfive.app/c. Your card travels inside the link, after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to our server, so the page shows the card on the visitor's phone and we don't see or store it.

Sharing your card by link

When you choose Send your card and share a link (for example in WhatsApp, Messages or email), the app sends that card to hyfive.app: the name, role, company and contact details on it, and two pictures of it that your phone draws. We keep them so the link (hyfive.app/s/…) shows your card and a preview in chats, and stays up to date when you change your card. We store nothing about the people you meet or who opens the link. Anyone with the link can see that card, as with a paper card. Card pages are hidden from search engines.

You can stop a link at any time in the app (Send your card › Stop this link). We then delete the card and its pictures from our server.

The website

hyfive.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party trackers. Like every web server, ours keeps short technical logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) for security and to keep the site running. The fonts are served from hyfive.app itself.

Services from Google and Apple

Hyfive uses features built into your phone, such as QR scanning (Google ML Kit on Android, Apple Vision on iPhone), the phone-number suggestion during setup on Android, and the street-name lookup mentioned above. These may send technical data to Google or Apple under their own privacy policies.

If you use your phone's backup (for example Android backup to your Google account), your phone may include Hyfive's data in that backup. That backup belongs to your account; we have no access to it.

How long we keep data

Everything Hyfive stores is on your phone, for as long as you keep it. You can edit or remove people, cards and details in the app at any time. Uninstalling Hyfive deletes its data from your phone. A card you shared by link stays on hyfive.app until you stop the link in the app or ask us to delete it (see below); uninstalling the app does not remove it by itself.
